TF2 Movie Soon [Aug 18, 2007, 6:27 pm ET] – Share – Viewing Comments
This week's
Steam Message has word that Valve will release a trailer showing off the
Soldier class from TeamFortress 2 at next week's Leipzig Games Convention. Word
is the movie will appear on Steam thereafter, and in the meantime, they've
posted some new Soldier screenshots. Only one shot is linked and that link
suffers the same bug that the HTML edition of these Steam messages always have,
so the correct links are:

image three.

I have no idea what you mean exactly (wasn't a huge TFC player to know the lingo) so that could very well be a joke that went over my head, but they did take out conc jumping completely. Not that I ever did it, just know people upset by that.
Personally, I'm a bit wary of the random critical hits. FPS and critical hits...

Scouts are going to be bunny-hopping pains in the ass, but I swear if I see heavies jumping around without a penalty I'll scream.

It's TF2 how much gameplay can they show?Plenty - they haven't shown any of the gameplay mechanics. They could show how the spy works, what the interface is like, whether bunny hopping is supported, etc. Very little is known about the game other than the graphical style - it is assumed that it will mostly be like TFC but in the Q&As they have mentioned some significant changes. Still, we'll find out soon enough.

The video or the game
agreed 100%. I'm already bored with hearing about this. so many press releases contain nothing in them, that now I tend to skip a lot of mainstream news anyway, and have even missed the release of some AAA games as a result. Too much crying wolf.
News about a video for an upcoming game? It's not like anyone has been anticipating this as there are plenty of TF2 videos out there... unless this demonstrates actually gameplay, in which case I'm very interested to see it. It would be better if Valve could just stick to deadlines and release their bloody products on time.
