How was the 360 demo?

Add ExcessDan to friends ;). I just picked up an elite 360 on the Canadian price drop day last Wednesday. I nabbed R6:Vegas, Gears of War, Bomberman Live and Doom for multiplayer.

I just got my girlfriend to log me into XBL to download this demo so it's ready for me when I get home. I rather play this game on PC but it won't hurt checking it out on Xbox beforehand.

Later this month? Who cares? We'll all have bought and played the game by then. I hate the trend of releasing demos after the game is out, though it could be worse.

M$ must have thrown a boatload of money at 2K Games to keep this demo a box exclusive. When they say "later this month" I say "post-commercial release". I would almost bet money on that. Almost.

I agree completely. What happened to the good old days of demos coming out before a game is released.

Hell, we know the game has gone gold, is it really so difficult to get a demo together now that the game is finished? Unless, of course, they are working on the first patch for the game already.

God damn it I really hate consoles now! exclusive this and exclusive that it doesnt matter one bit if the product is crap which it usually is.

Theres no auto-aim in the demo that I can detect and with the launch about a week off I dont see them changing that.

re: demo. The demo is great but you can tell where Irrational had to trim back some of the FX to get it running at a solid framerate for the 360. You'll go into a room and things like doors and statues will be very high res but the walls next to them will have this ugly low res texture. If you played Gears of War you know exactly what I mean. The PC version is what I'm getting, I want the full on experience.

Actually, I haven't seen the demo, so I don't know what's in it. But I have played the first bit of the game, and I regret it. My life has been slightly miserable ever since.
