PHJF, are we talking about driving games? No. We are talking about an FPS here.
Didn't realize I had to spell it out for some people, but since I do I'll change it to read...
"For FPS's...Keyboard + Mouse > gamepad no matter how you try an spin it"
And I just gave you an instance where the gamepad is entirely better than the keyboard/mouse, no matter how you spin it. You don't have to hold down shift to walk instead of run in a console shooter; You have a sensitive thumbstick.
And I don't know where you get that "18% accuracy" thing. 18% of what? 18% of projectiles across every shooter hit an enemy? What? Is that multiplayer only? Is that Quake or Delta Force? CS:S or AA? In the majority of shooters on the PC in modern times
a) the map is huge and you can not possibly hit with a majority of bullets unless you aimbot (Battlefield games)
b) the guns have a large recoil force and it is not possible to hit with a majority of bullets (Counterstrike, spray n pray)
c) the enemy is moving in a fashion disallowing the majority of bullets to strike him (Enemy Territory, b-hop)

"That don't look like no golden marmoset I ever seen!"
