Honestly, ungodly small. Instead of having your typical A to B in a line, you have a triangle of A to B to C, but A and C are within spitting distance of each other.

I'm not sure what it is with Quake Wars but the scale seems really whacked.

For example in the new map (the one that was demo'd originally for QW's) once you get the APC into place you get access to air vehicles. Well there isn't enough space between getting them and the next 2 objectives to really justify them. Had they been at the start of the map it might be different.

A little bit smaller in terms of raw mileage end to end but much more detailed in terms of textures, terrain, and areas where you can hide, run, and fight.

Valley for example can almost be considered a fully three dimensional map as you can fight in the air, on the ground, or in the sewers below the main battle area.

To anyone playing the beta: Are the map sizes comparable to the Battlefield 2 sizes? Bigger? *Curious*
