I don't bother to encrypt, I don't have anything I think its worth doing it to.

But if I did, I certainly wouldn't choose MS for it. The ONLY trustworthy encryption is open source.

There was an article in the news about compaq/HQ helping FBI decrypt something from a program they sell. The implication is that there are back doors in there. And I'm sure the same is the case with all/most commercial solutions.
