Out of the Blue

I've been up since 4:00 am after suffering from a severe bout of heartburn that woke me up and would not go away. I scavenged the last of the Pepto from a bottle of that, and then had to try and get relief from seltzer, which helped just enough to allow me to fall off to sleep for a couple of moments again. Of course I should have just gotten up at that point and bought more Pepto or updated or something, but that would have been smart.

I don't find habanero-anything terribly spicy. I've been to about a dozen mexican restaurants within a 50 mile radius, tried everything "spicy," and ended up let down. Same goes with all these so-called "atomic" buffalo wings.

Also, why can't we ban Rainier permanently? Blue never did answer that.

Because secretly Blue enjoys deleting his post and laughing at him. If he bans him, he will not get that enjoyment everyday!

Like the rest of you ancient fucks, I too had horrible hearburn. Tried Prilosec, Tums, yadda yadda yadda. It fixed it for a little bit but it would come right back.

Talked to my doc and she put me on Aciphex. Best. Shit. Ever. I no longer have the problem and my stomach no longer feels like it is trying to gnaw its way out of my body.

That's not heartburn, it's an eating disorder....
Wow, talk about taking a quote out of context. Are you a news reporter?

i think that was intended as a joke.

Toughen up, you pansies. I eat jalepenos outta the bloody jar and dump chili powder in my soup.

Building up an immunity; heartburn shall have NO POWER OVER ME.

And since medicine means you're weak (I don't even take aspirin anymore) Prilosec is right out.

I agree with your sentiment (and how you eat hot food, you would love my mini pepper farm with ~15 different types of peppers). In my defense, my problem happened after a case of food poisoning damaged my esophagus and so it took me the year on the medicine to let it repair.

Everybody else is pansies though.

Aging gamers, my ass. this is just a big ole cup of steaming weak sauce.

oh wait...

Bolting upright in bed from a sound sleep, struggling to breathe cause you inhaled some stomach acid.

This used to happen to me, but it was caused by sleep apnea, not heartburn. Since I took care of the sleep apnea, it hasn't happened a single time.

And when did Blue's News become a support group for aging gamers?

Let this be a lesson to you Blue. Mention stomach problems in your post and deal with heart to heart discussions about vomiting and smelly shit.

Well, It is a safe bet that your poopies stunk really bad before, something is just different now and now you are smelling it.

It sounds like you are saying thay maybe my poops didn't change, but perhaps my sense of smell or awareness of my poops changed. I guess it is possible, but I just don't remember it being this consistently nasty.

Sorry for the poop talk. Here's a link to Sarah Silverman's "Poop Song": http://ccinsider.comedycentral.com/cc_insider/2007/06/kanye_west_sing.html
