The more I see/read the less I care.

The combat in that video looked like MMORPG combat. The combat is the weakest part of MMORPGs. So they took the weakest part of those games and left out what draws people in?

Meh indeed.

Of course its MMORPG combat, they want you to pay monthly to play multiplayer.

How much to see the trailer? Screw you, Roper!

I hope this game bombs big time.

This looks a little better than the footage I had previously seen on G4...but it has everything that scared me away from really wanting the game.

Take generic MMOG combat/gameplay and mix it in with a generic action shooter and this is what you end up with.

As a single-layer game or a MMOG, it does not really comes off as a robust, unique experience. Budget FPS, adventure/RPG FPS, MMO FPS, or MMOG - I can think of better, more robust options.
Heck, just the fact it looks so boring is a major issue.
Needing to play a demo...but incredibly skeptical, at this point,
Ray

Actually i think it looks worse then it ever did, melee looks ok but the spell casting looks positivley retarded.

everyone was kinda excited/interested in this game until not to long ago and BAM, roper somehow killed off all interest in it from most of this community.

im still sorta looking forward to it, but roper can kiss the fattest part of my arse if he thinks im paying to play it online.

And to think I was excited about this game at one point. It went from badass futuristic Diablo killer to crappy generic Guild Wars clone.

I was excited when it was very first announced.

Then Roper was quick to say it was in first person, but it would have a high degree of autoaim for people that are FPS-challenged. That worried me, a lot, but didn't scare me.

Then last E3 they showed gameplay footage. Most, but not all, of it was in third person. You can't do that. Games don't do both well, it needs to be one or the other. To make things worse, the third person gameplay looked like PS1 era gameplay. Camera slightly overhead, not behind, running around swiping at things.

This E3 it's all third person and it went from looking like a PS1 game (bad) to a MMORPG (worse.)

Quite frankly this is off my radar. As one of the people most excited for it when it was announced, that should be shocking. I won't even download a demo without reading reviews. I just don't care enough to give the time.
I was fairly convinced that when Roper left he took all that was good from Blizzard with him. And Blizzard had been proving me right, doing a MMORPG. But now Roper is doing something even worse. Ug.

I completely agree, my interest is completely gone after watching that trailer. They had pretty much lost me with the monthly subscription fees but that trailer put the last nail in the coffin.

Not that I could do any better, but dam the game looks like crap.

Good luck Flagship.

Ha, I totally forgot about the subscription fees in my rant.

People play MMORPGs for the community. Apparently. I don't know, I never got it, what I do know is the gameplay mostly blows.

So creating a game with the gameplay and the fees but without the fixed community? Bad, bad, bad.

Meh indeed! Glad I'm not the only one with that feeling. I remember first hearing about the game and it sounded like it had potential, but after seeing that trailer it looks like it lost it all. Looks like a really dull game.
