Global Conflicts: Palestine Released, Demo

GamersGate announces today marks the launch of sales for Global Conflicts: Palestine, a "serious game" about the decidedly serious situation in the middle east. A demo is also now available for the game is available on Gamer's Hell (though it bears noting that the thrust of serious gaming is to provoke thought beyond fun and games). Word is: "Gamers will assume the role of an up-and-coming freelance journalist experiencing both sides of the conflict and deciding what story the media should tell. Through exploring real life environments, interacting with people and being exposed to their stories, gamers will be thrust in a highly interactive, completely unique adventure unlike any game available on the market today."

This game is totally full of crap. If you tell the story any other way you'll be justifying terrorism. In the end you can't have peace with people who doesn't want peace which is the fundamental problem over there.

2. Trouble finding "Palestine" on the map.. Jul 4, 2007, 20:53 Calabi-Yau
Urghh, the use of the politically-loaded term "Palestine" is very clumsy. Kinda makes me doubtful about the whole thing. "You decide the story that will be told..." mmmmmaybe...
