Was 360'ing last night and heard beeping coming from the computer room, walked in to find my computer doing a slow but constant 'beep beep beep' (from the motherboard). So I reboot the system and I keep getting errors about corrupted windows files. I sigh, start chainsmoking and figure 'what the hell time to clean the bitch up anyway' and throw in my XP cd and figure I might as well format it.
So I get to the spot in XP setup where it ask if I want to repair/install/something else and I try repair first, and that was fubar'd so redo it again and go for an install, about 2 seconds after I hit f8 (to agree to install it) I get a Blue Screen of Death, with a kernal error. Rinse and repeat many times over.
With my hard drive defragmenting alot lately and this, is this a sign the hard drive is dead?
