WorldShift Announced

Black Sea Studios (Knights of Honor) announces WorldShift, a real-time strategy game set in a dystopian future. The WorldShift Website is online with images and information, and here's word:
Black Sea Studios, the developer behind the highly rated strategic simulation Knights of Honor, announced WorldShift today. WorldShift is next-generation, cyber-fantasy RTS game set in a dark future of Earth, where todays’ civilization is only a fading mysterious legend.

With WorldShift, Black Sea Studios are again offering really different, unexplored view on the RTS genre and a lot of deep, addictive gameplay. WorldShift had been in development for long time already and more announcements will follow in close future.

Not to mention StarCraft was more of a rip on Alien and Starship Troopers.

Note: I'm not saying there's no Warhammer inspiration in StarCraft, just not as much as from Alien and ST.

Keeper Usiel, what are you on?

Shadow of the Horned Rat isn't even scifi.

Warhammer 40000 Chaos Gate came out after StarCraft.

Final Liberation Warhammer Epic 40000 is turn-based not real-time.

So yeah, you're still wrong.

Actually... Starcraft was a ripoff of warcraft... which was a ripoff of Dune 2... which was a ripoff of (insert any previous game (PC, Console, C64, board, or otherwise) with some similiar elements)...

Hell... Zork was a ripoff of a choose your own adventure book : )

Ya'll just label too easily...

So Warhammer 40K was a computergame? No? So Starcraft is not really a rip-off, maybe just inspired on Warhammer 40K. Get over it, be happy that they used it as a source of inspiration.

Your ignorance is cute, Igor.

While the tabletop version is much, much older, here are a couple of Warhammer games from the 90s:

http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/warhammer-shadow-of-the-horned-rat

Also, just for good measure, here is the origins of Warhammer:

Since Starcraft was released in 1998, a full year after Final Liberation and 11 years after the first Warhammer publication, I'm going to call it a ripoff.

You're out of your league here Igor. It's not like W40K began with Relic's Dawn of War, you know...

Umm, Warhammer 40K was an RTS game back in the 90s? Really?

And Starcraft was a ripoff of Warhammer 40K. What's your point?

Is it going to be real-time in the same sense as Knights of Honor? Might be good then..

EDIT: Never mind, looks like a starcraft ripoff..
