Well, my favorite quote from the whole post, which was actually part of the quoted statement itself, was this one:

"While we are aware that discs can potentially be scratched through normal wear and tear, we have not received any widespread reports of the issue highlighted here."

"Wear and tear"? A disc just sits on a spinner and spins. There's no "wear and tear" involved other than how haphazardly a person treats it and possibly the hole in the CD's center that affixes to the spinner itself. But I digress, I have CDs that are 14 years old that still play flawlessly. The only "wear and tear" on the disc is being done by the 360 itself.

that it must be my fault.

Obviously, since you only bought the 360 and a myriad of games all in the expectation the discs would have a lifespan longer than yours.

This is the kind of shit that pisses me off; especially with a console I really think has the greatest potential of the three major players out there.

And Death to Sequels has the gall to say the "Wii sucks, too"? The damn thing survived longer than my 360; and that was only because I dropped it. And guess what? When I said that to the the Nintendo rep, they replaced it! On warranty, of course, but I didn't have to jump through any loops with them as I had with MS in the past.

"Wear and tear" my ass.
