Vista should have been called ME II---because it is just as good.

y'know, with the obscene money that even mediocre pro athletes get these days ($126 M for barry zito!?) a $10M handout doesn't even shock any more.

Unless ofcourse MS stops bullshitting us all and ports it to XP
that would be mucho kool but i suspect it's technically impossible. maybe they could do a "DX10 Lite" mod/upgrade to XP which included only a partial feature set of full DX10.

ATI + Linux = bad times. After losing my Windows registry a few months ago I decided to try using only Linux for my desktop. That lasted about a week, as I kept getting kernel panics while using X.org, and I strongly suspect that ATI's horrible Linux drivers had something to do with it. I'm glad I went with nVidia for my (currently unfinished) MythTV box.

Strange, I have MythTV working wonderfully with the proprietary ATI Linux driver. The open source drivers were slow as hell and almost unusable.

What about the games industry? So much for DX10.

Unless ofcourse MS stops bullshitting us all and ports it to XP.

Yes, I know, there is always OpenGL, but all the kids these days only know DX?
