Out of the Blue

Wow, I can't recall being this sick in a long time, as my early use of that Zicam stuff usually suppresses a lot of cold symptoms, but no such luck this time. Last night I had one of those weird restless fever sleeps (think Martin Sheen in Apocalypse Now), and even suffered from a nasty case of the hiccups from coughing in the middle of the night. I think I might have the flu, but whatever it is, I'm ready for it to go away.

@Enahs

See that's the sheer brilliance of the Royal Navy. On the surface their technology looks woefully dated but underneath it's state-of-the-farking-art (and how)!

The Royal Navy needs better funding. If you click on the pictures at the left, click the one with the Blue GPS tracking device. That happens to be the exact same GPS I have (and have had for many many years). While it works, having played with a GPS made in the past 3-4 years, let me say it sucks in comparison.

Royal Navy, upgrade your soldiers equipment please.

Also concerning the grammer stuff below, I seem to remember that Blue has something to do with a Dictionary (Family ties or something) so I would have expected him to get it 100%, then again he is sick so I guess i'll let him off :).

Ouch... you are correct: One of my ancestors is Noah Webster.

37. Havent said much in a looong time Mar 28, 2007, 16:17 The Truth

So I thought I would!

Been crazy busy with moving into the new house (huzzah!) and almost finished a new business that I've been working on in my spare hours after work (2-4+ hours a night gets really really old after 4 months) once thats launched im probably going to take a few days off and just sleep .

Havent seen anyone mention it in the last few days, but for those of you who have DS(s) go out and buy Puzzle Quest. Even if the choice is between being able to eat and getting the game, get the game, its that seriously good. (Penny Arcade has been covering it in the last two strips).

Also concerning the grammer stuff below, I seem to remember that Blue has something to do with a Dictionary (Family ties or something) so I would have expected him to get it 100%, then again he is sick so I guess i'll let him off ;).

(On a related note (amusingly) (and I can already see the posts responding to this) I couldent tell you the difference between a noun and a verb much less anything else grammer related. I dunno, I like to use words and to read words I just don't know all the rules behind them .

To be honest, while it was amusing, it was so long I didn't watch the whole thing myself in my flu-addled state, so I just took Videosift's word for it since their post carried an NSFW tag.

I think that nobody has made it all the way through the video to find out what is NSFW about it, so that tag just keeps getting passed around.

35. New Coffee Maker Mar 28, 2007, 15:06 Cutter

Welp, I bought a new coffeemaker (2nd one I've ever owned as I'm not a big coffee drinker) and it's taken me three days to finally nail down the right proportion of coffee to water. Few things are worse than coffee that's too weak or strong. Something is infinitely satisfying about making that Goldilocks coffee which is "just right".

Thank you Ricardo Montabaln!

Unfortunately your tarded signature means I ignore any links within the bottom inch of any of your posts. Only a tard would have such a signature.

Blue, you should have taken some sugar pills. I hear they work wonders for colds. Much cheaper than that Cold-eze stuff, and just as effective.

I use Cold-Eeze pretty habitually when I feel something coming on. The zinc supposedly coats the inside of your throat and slows viruses from marching down those tissues and into your lungs, giving your immune system time to mop them up.

No way to know if it *really* works of course. How do I know my flu wouldn't have gotten better on its own in the same amount of time? I relied on some very impressive controlled studies that overwhelmingly demonstrated a dramatic decrease in flu severity and duration. Turns out subsequent studies showed no such effect. Crap.

Similarly if one looks into that "created by a school teacher" Airborne stuff, there are NO reliable controlled experiments showing any effect whatsoever, the marketer's claims to the contrary. Not surprising since it's based on homeopathic voodoo.

But I was bummed about the Cold-Eeze news (though I still take it, go figure).

You weren't still on a dose of the pseudoephedrine overnight were you?

No, I took my last dose early in the day... I think my mistake was not taking an overnight remedy.

No, you triple duple tard.

The first link in my post I said Tab Menu was for the menu. I said after that, that Tab Mix Plus does what you want; and told you the command to do it.

Don't hate that you are a tard and can not read or write!

Er, you suggested https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1242 which is Tabs Menu. That does not display on multiple tabs. Therefore you are a tard.

Tabs Menu Plus, however, does. I know you suggested that, but this was after the event. This makes you a double tard.

Alternatively, you cut and pasted the wrong link. I won't even begin to tell you how much of a tard that would make you.

Coats is the subject of the sentence (it is the coats that are dripping wet, not the kittens), therefore the verb needs to agree in number with coats, not kittens.
Yes, you're right, but I was thinking logically rather than gramatically. My point wasn't that gramatically it must be "are", but that given how it is "are" (heh that's a nice sentence right there :)) it follows that there is more than one coat, which means there must be more than one cat.

Of course, there might be one cat with several coats (of the sort you or I might wear) but if that were the case, surely only the first would be wet - unless they weren't good coats and water had got through. Or the cat had been in a river, or something. That's always possible, I suppose.

Heh...

Good lord.. who cares about the grammar??? Don't you dorks realize what they are trying to say?
Last I checked this was OotB where anything goes
