Today is the last day of winter here in the Northern Hemisphere

Although nowhere near the cold of parts of the USA, London has been unseasonably cold recently. Last week it was very spring-like: sunny, warm and nice. Yesterday I counted snow, rain, sun, sleet, very strong wind and even a little bit of hail.

That guy talking on that video is a freaking moron.
Talking about how we can not stop terrorist secret messages while going on about this supposed big prank.

We could only hope the terrorists are that stupid, to spend weeks planing and lots of money, time and effort on saying one word to their terrorists buddies. But they are probably not that stupid, they probably go buy those prepaid cellular phones with prepaid disposable debit cards, use them once or twice and throw them away. Ya know, not that much money, time and effort, and it does not take 2 weeks to tell your terrorist friend one word, and you do not risk so much getting caught doing it....

dunno if that was real or not but some recent experience at warehouses, supermarkets, banks, storage facilities and loading docks has me convinced i could wheel a palette load of C4 into just about anywhere and not even get challenged.

Sweet. I lived @ 24th/Lyndale for a while, also at 26th/Lyndale. Love that area.

Now I am near Central/Broadway.

They put it up here first and now they're doing the northside. Not sure if it's active yet, but they shouldn't tell anyone if it is, for now. I've lived on both sides and the northside is many times worse in my opinion. I'm in the outer part of the 3rd precinct, I live a half block away from the Abbot Childrens Hospital on 26th/Columbus.

You guys have it good (so to speak) as you also have the cameras and such in your area.

I am sure our area will be the LAST to get any sort of technology - as there never has been a need. Just compare the different precinct's crime maps. Ours is pretty sparse, until you get around University/Lowery and Central/Lowry.

But come on, when the shells are LAYING IN THE ALLEY IN PLAIN VIEW - do you really need a "gunshot locating system", even with witnesses. sheesh.

But the bad guys aren't complete idiots - they look at the maps also, and use them to their advantage.

Batman; Over here on the south side of Mpls. they have the gunshot locating system and it seems to work really well. The police can respond within one minute when it detects a shot. I think the city will be bringing it to your neighborhood, but I’m not sure when, I think the north side is next. I must say, it’s kind of nice not to hear the regular Friday, Saturday night shots lately.
