Battlefield: High Definition
is a modification for Battlefield 1942 that adds higher-definition graphics,
just as the name implies (thanks Ant and
Planet
Battlefield). In addition to graphical tweaks, the mod also adds a
third-person view, increases view distances, and increases the time that objects
like dead bodies and destroyed vehicles remain visible.
People remove fog on BF2 and other games anyway to get the upper hand.
Many times I have been sniped through fog. I always run with the minimum textures on the ground so I can see mines clearly, all eyecandy does is make your game harder.
Sure Crysis looks GREAT but for online multiplayer games I reduce all that glitter to WIN.
