Would you believe it if I told you that our twice replaced TiVo is already dead
again? I know, I have a hard time believing it myself. It's actually not a TiVo,
but a DirecTV-branded DVR, but whatever you call it, it's a door-stop now. I
think I'd have given up on them by now were it not for DTV's incredibly nice
customer service people, which should serve as a lesson to other companies.
Outsourcing may save money in the short-term, but getting the detached sort of
support offered a generic overseas call center offers would surely have sent me
into the arms of cable TV by now.
