They would always advertise these decent deals and then never once had any of the worthwhile deals they advertised in stock. What they did have was absurdly overpriced and randomly placed on shelves thus forcing people to look over the entire department's shelf space while searching for what was supposed to be there. The old bait-and-switch every single time that I ever went in to one.
That's funny, that describes Best Buy perfectly, and why I started shopping at Circuit City more...

62 of the closed stores were in Canada... I think that's a pretty strong testament to how much of a grip Future Shop has on the Canadian market.
Circuit City gave my parents a brand new, free laptop after their laptop support contractor refused to fix their laptop (which was supposed to be under warranty), plus a carrying case and a bunch of DVDs. Other than that, I too despise them and take much pleasure in watching them fall.
