The more I think about it the more I think it was an early episode of Mythbusters.
It was. And as much as I love MythBusters, a lot of their experiments are flat wrong.
Maybe they get the correct answer, but a lot of times their methods are severely lacking; and thus a lot of the conclusions they come to are at the minimum questionable.
