I anyone really surprised about this?
We are told that we have to believe in Global Warming(TM) with out even critically assessing the science and that even if the science is inconclusive we have to rush in and do SOMETHING because if we don't do SOMETHING children will die. Or polar bears, people don't get too upset when children die for some reason.
It is like don Quixote, he knows there is evil in the world but he doesn't know what to do about it so he tilts at windmills and gets tangled up in the propellers. When if he would have waited a moment, assessed the situation, said to Sanchez, "Sanchez, that giant over there, it looks almost like a windmill!" and then Sanchez would say, "But it is only a windmill" and then don Quixote would say, "Oh, okay," and ride past and not make a bigger mess for himself then the one he thought he was starting with.
Parsifal is a good example, he just points the Spear of Destiny and Klingsor's palace disappears because it was an illusion, it never existed in the first place. Amforstas is the true fool, suffering from a wound he will not let heal.
So, all these don Quixotes are out there making things worse for the polar bears and the children, if anybody still cares about them, but they say, "don't blame us, we have good intentions!"
Well, if you were only doing yourself in with your "good intentions" it would be one thing but you insist on dragging the rest of us along with you. Fie!
