A small flurry of activity accompanies the news of the Unreal Tournament 3 name
change (story), starting with the release of some new
screenshots on GameSpot. There's also a new in-game movie, available in one
or both of two resolutions (one of them very high) on

Mania, Gamer's Hell,

Worthplaying. Finally, hands on previews of Epic's coming shooter sequel

so hum, where's the 'tournament' in this.. 'war'?I was thinking the same thing. Although I like the Unreal series, I haven't been keeping up with the game's development since the E3 2005 preview so the plot mentioned in the trailer caught me by surprise. I was also somewhat surprised that Epic is described in the promo as "the studio behind Gears of Wars" as if most game consumers never heard of the company or Unreal Tournament before it released Gears of War.
The overall impression I got from the video was that Epic wants this game to be "Gears of Unreal War."
