sorry, short of a remake of T1 and/or T2 with new graphics, there is/was no way a genuinely new Tribes game can be made without the tribalwar community bitching and moaning. And the obvious flaw in your argument (Vivendi pulled the plug on patch #2) has already been pointed out
you are wrong - irrational fucked up the netcode from the getgo. the SS2845 wrote a lengthy article about all the specific problems with the engine when they decided to switch over to torque
