Why not a streamlined UI? Many times having to adapt for a console forces the devs to think of more elegant solutions that can turn out to be beneficial. For all the shit Dues Ex 2 caught the interface was a lot better than the original which was essentially a traditional RPG interface that was slow and cumbersome for a more action orieted game like DE2.
