Funny thing is... they eat irradiated beef in parts of europe, if I'm not mistaken, yet we're terrified of the idea in the states.

As for the farmed salmon comment, don't even bring that up. The state I'm living in, part of the old maritime economy was strictly salmon fishing. Now with EVERYONE and their mom refusing to eat farmed salmon for real and percieved ills, the business has undergone some huge and rather catastrophic changes, all due to overfishing of stock.

The ills of so many food additives, alterations, whatevers aren't always so clear cut as to give you cancer, cure all world hunger or whatever. There's good and bad to cloned food just as theres good and bad to gmos, etc etc. Just because something is wierd or unusual doesn't mean it's outright detrimental.
