I saw my first ad, Intel core 2 duo. Wow, we bought this crappy Beta and on top of that, they're making enough dough on our asses. I wish they kept to the player art idea.

Should we get a check in the mail??

I am so on your side. I've contacted EA on multiple occasion only to result in them thwarting towards their "legal department". Are they, uh, nervous? Darn expensive beta we got sold.

You can, but it's not actual widescreen support in that you're basically just stretching the image in funky ways. In a game where WS is supported natively, you can actually see more on the sides. Much more, and it's awesome

Yup. Sucks though. Every other FPS supports widescreen, regardless of the advantage.

such as being able to reassign keys and have them ALL remember, not just SOME.

that and fix that god awful UI, why bury the options screens under multiple levels of menu?

I thought the reason they didn't allow WS support was that it would give the player a wider field of view than those using 4:3 views.

Can't you change the resolution to match your monitor through editing the .ini?

And sales wise it really doesn't matter, EA will continue to pump these babys out long after we are all dead.

Why wouldn't they, considering how popular it is in the number of people playing. Unfortunately for those of us that slam this turd of a game it's doing pretty well for them. Until the masses start rejecting their bullshit it will keep coming.

I just wish EA would provide widescreen support. Literally every other game that I own supports my widescreen resolution except BF2142. I can still play it, but not at the optimum/maximum resolution for my monitor.

There still aren't any ads in-game for me or any of my 10+ clan members, and I'm pretty sure EA/DICE is never going to put them in. The controversy about the ads must've soured them on it.

Instead of putting ads into the game, they're now asking players to submit banner pictures so that they can be put on those billboards. I want to make a "Soylent green.. YUM! It's people!" or a "Donate your family today. Soylent green! Made of people like you!" type of ads

PS -- I still hope/wish they make changes to the aircraft! The hoverships are so damn boring!

SALES Numbers, not players currently playing.

I wonder how empty the BF servers are going to be once ET: Quake Wars comes out...

I was just wondering if they could get the patch to actually work without breaking the game for once.

A truck is not a speech.A horn is not a voice.Occupation is not a protest.A blockade is not freedom,it blocks the liberty of all.
A demand to overthrow a government is not a dialogue.Expression of hate is not a difference of opinion.A lie is not the truth

And the BF franchise saga continues. Patching is always good. Have they given up on BF2 just like they gave up on all the other BF games once the next iteration came out?

There's a wonderful pagefile swelling problem (aka: memory leak) in their other product.

Please fix that. Fix it now. Make it work. Make me happy.

why the hell would you want to resupply an unlimited ammo object? Why in gods name does it even need to be "fixed"?

Because you could get resupply points for resupplying something that doesn't need resupplying, ie exploit.

No longer able to use Sentry Gun pushing player into Titan Crate collision

I'm pretty sure this is how people glitched through walls into the core.
