Those reasons are exactly why I haven't tried to buy a Wii yet, and have a hard time understanding why there's so much hype for it. It seems like half the people that love the Wii like it for being an underdog rather than because it's really a great system.

I don't doubt that it IS a great system... it just seems an extraneous one. Kind of the Pictionary console you keep in your closet until company comes over because it's really not fun without someone else.
