Also isn't it sad that in the year 2142, Intel is still using the Core Duo 2?
You have a point Jerykk, but my counterpoint is here. With cars, you have no alternative. ALL cars have their logo, however you could take it off I guess?
As with clothing, you can easily choose to buy a shirt, even from the companies I mentioned, that have NO logo on them at all, except maybe on the inside tag. This would be the same for your food store, there are vege's and fruits that have no logo on it, even meets, some cereals etc.
What I am saying is that we can have an effect on certain things, not all (Cars being a good point of yours). But this in game advertising will not bring the price of the game down at all for us, nor will it allow EA or others to place more beta testers.
We have become the beta testers.
Games have become more expensive to produce.
Workers have been laid off.
Deadlines are still the same.
Post support is automated, or sent offshore, saving these companies millions, yet they still dole out increasingly buggy games.
To me we are heading for another game fall out as seen in the late 80's.
Consoles are $400-600 now, games are reaching a consistent $60-70 mark.
The idea's, such as Gears of War, are so overly done it isn't even funny. Fewer and fewer games interest me and my fellow 30+ year old friends, the ones making these games.
I am losing interest. I am pretty sick of being taken advantage of. I am buying fewer and fewer games, movies and music every year.
Not sure what my point is....
