Battlefield Website (thanks Frans) has details on upcoming patches for both
Battlefield 2142 and Battlefield 2. There are extensive details on the 2142
patch, describing balance tweaks and other fixes planned, while also touching
upon the testing process and how to participate in the testing of future
patches. They also mention a new version 1.41 patch for BF2 is on the way,
though more details are coming in a future update.

Here I was thinking they'd fix the REAL problems with BF2142, and all I see are some zarking fixes about the accuracy of the assault rifle along with some proper stats awards!?!?!?

How about the fact that TITAN mode is almost unbearable, titan moves... insane lag. Almost unplayable!!
What about the HUNDREDS of cheats/hacks that work in the game? Such as stat padding, and teleporting into the enemy titan core?!?!
What is it with these idiots. I've learned my lesson about EA. I hear its a crappy place to work also, I can see by the quality code they produce that this is likely true.

Judging by the tiny increase in version number, they wont be fixing much.
here we go with the 2142 nerfs. God forbid your rifle doesn't spit out slugs like a sprinkler head, you may actually hit someone.

Hey Nub, they already announced a larger fix list, this is in addition to it.
Just check the player numbers for each of the Battlefield SKU's and you will see that BF2 has the largest amount of players for good reason, the rest of the BF mod SKU's are crap. The did to BF what Vivendi did to Tribes.
They have to patch BF2. Period. Its the only way they can keep garnishing our eyes with BF2142 mod adverts on their log in message banner.
Does anybody know how to remove that crap?

I am SO glad i didnt buy this game. I could name all the reasons why, but we here, and the Battlefield official forums have covered them in great detail.
I'll continue playing WoW and the occasional RTS until ET:QW comes out.

I played the pants off of BF1942.. kicked mad ass in BF2 (bugs and all), beta tested 2142 for a few weeks and then played the demo for another few weeks. I even tried out the full game and checked the maps out and played a good bit of time in the full game (i downloaded the full game to try it out). I know what I am missing and it't not a lot.

If you enjoy BF2142, jolly good for you. I suspect a lot of people don't, then again Unreal Tournament has turned into the tard market and they seem quite happy with their game too
