The Battlefield Website (thanks Frans) has details on upcoming patches for both Battlefield 2142 and Battlefield 2. There are extensive details on the 2142 patch, describing balance tweaks and other fixes planned, while also touching upon the testing process and how to participate in the testing of future patches. They also mention a new version 1.41 patch for BF2 is on the way, though more details are coming in a future update.

I am SO glad i didnt buy this game. I could name all the reasons why, but we here, and the Battlefield official forums have covered them in great detail.

I'll continue playing WoW and the occasional RTS until ET:QW comes out.
