The promised Warhammer: Mark of Chaos single-player demo is now available, allowing a sample of Black Hole Games' fantasy-themed RTS game. The demo co-premieres on 3D Gamers and FilePlanet (registration required), and mirrors of the whopping 1144 MB download are available on, FileFront, Gameguru Mania, Gamer's Hell, Internode Games Network, and Worthplaying.

Looks like if I get this it'll be just for online multiplayer gaming if the single player is an example of the single player campaign.

I was hoping for a Total War/Dark Crusade type map for single player, not a linear "rpg" story thing that's been done to death in countless 2nd rate games.

Dark Crusade has shown it is possible to add some storyline elements into each area whilst retaining grand stratergy battle entertainment. This Warhammer game seems as though it has forsaken the main reason people play Warhammer (the large scale battles) in favour of adding some horribly restrictive storyline map.

Dissapointed by the demo, will wait for reviews of the single player element. Although as I said I'll probably get it anyway just for the multiplayer battles - it's much cheaper and easier than playing it in real life anyway.
