Ships Ahoy - Need for Speed: Carbon

EA announces that Need for Speed: Carbon is racing into stores for PC, Xbox 360, Xbox, PS2, GameCube, and mobile platforms, with the PS3 and Wii editions to launch with their respective consoles:

There definitely was in one of the early ones -- think it was 2, but can't remember for sure anymore

Courses which could be construed as canyon in nature appeared in Hot Pursuit/High Stakes as well. It isn't really a canyon per say, anyways; it's mountain side racing. There are portions of track where the guard rail will give way under too hard an impact, and the car will be sent off the cliff to its demise.

If you ask me, that's just begging to be tried in a multiplayer race. Well anywho my NFS collection wouldn't be complete without it, so I'll have to go pick it up this weekend...

I'm passing on this one. Too cartoonish for me. They did tempt me by bringing back some muscle cars though.

They keep yanking multiplayer support so fast for their recent games that I'm sure they will do the same to this in a year or two.

What is up with the blurry graphics on the last NFS games ? They over-do the visual effects so much that it looks pretty bad. The shaking car also looks a little silly.

Get Flatout2 instead. It's so much better than this in so many ways.

Seems the online Flatout 2 players died after the patch.

Really wish they'd use Flatout 2 engine to make another Carmaggedon game.

FlatOut didn't have a single customization option and no unlockables past getting the "next batch of cars". Gonna need more depth than that; launching my driver through flaming hoops only works for so long.

Unless you call that horrible excuse for a car upgrade system customization.
