The patches improved on it too. I thought the game was very good for what it was trying to accomplish. It's a VERY complex game.
Really. I'll have to give it another whirl then. I really liked the first game that I was kind of dissapointed with the initial release of the second. Although that 3d globe was downright cool.
Comparisons to Superpower 2: The only way this game can be compared to Superpower 2 is that it deals with conflicts between other nations in a modern setting and using the globe is the main focus of the interface.
I wasn't comparing it though. I was drawing the parallel that DEFCON has an emphasis on using nuclear weapons as well that Super Power 2 also featured them, of which I actually thought the handling of nuclear weapons was done decently.
I'm also willing to bet it will not be initially bug ridden like Superpower 2.
That's why I said it sucked.
