I played eq2 for about a year, and had a ton of fun. The graphics were good but there really isnt any style there, and even with a high end comp I couldent switch shadows on.

Anyways got to the end game, raided most everything and then kinda gave up after the expansion pack came out. The grind was insane, the expansion pack just added more grind, oh yeah, and then they added the combat changes and my paladin went from Armor plated damage absorbing tank to a paper doll. I was getting killed left and right.

They comepletly ruined it for me then.

So we went over to WoW and havent looked back. The art direction is better, quests dont involve pulling up websites to try and figure out what the hell your doing. And you can get something meaningfull done in 30mins, as opposed to 1-2days for the majority of the later level quests for EQ2.

Diablo & Diablo 2 for the DS, it makes sense Blizzard!

Well I think we had this discussion awhile ago, but EQ2 has a great graphics engine (if you have a machine to play it so it looks good), but the people still look like plastic.

I thought EQ2 was pretty impressive when it came out, the game system was pretty extensive without being stupid(ala SWG) and the engine was tight. It's just a shame the art was not that good and two cities really don't cut it for me.
