Reservoir Dogs Date

Eidos Announces Street Date for Reservoir Dogs Video Game announces October 24, 2006 as the U.S. release date for the PC, Xbox, and PS2 editions of Reservoir Dogs, the game sequel to the crime film. The release coincides with a new DVD release for the movie:
Lionsgate will release the Reservoir Dogs 15th Anniversary Edition DVD street day and date with the Reservoir Dogs video game. Included on the DVD are never-before-seen extra features and one-of-a-kind collectible packaging. The DVD also features promotions for the video game both on the disc and in the packaging.

"Movie-based video games centered on compelling content and solid gameplay have a proven history of having a highly successful run at retail," said Bob Lindsey, VP of sales and marketing, Eidos. "With the film's extremely loyal fan base and the concurrent release of Reservoir Dogs 15th Anniversary Edition DVD, the Reservoir Dogs video game deserves a home on the crime-film fan's shelf."

Reservoir Dogs is based on the 1992 Quentin Tarantino-directed classic movie about five total strangers who are brought together to carry out a diamond heist. In the video game release, players get to fill the shoes of each iconic character in the film as they relive the Reservoir Dogs experience complete with the movie's trademark style and wit. The game will also feature the full and original soundtrack from the movie -- the super sounds of the seventies brought alive with the thematic "Little Green Bag," the unforgettable "Stuck in the Middle with You" and more.

It was a good game based off a movie I wouldn't watch if you paid me.

Err, I'd definitely watch Chronicles of Riddick if somebody paid me, as long as it was at least $20.

For a beef roast?
Or are you roasting a baby?

Do you now mean to imply, Sir, that I would consume this baby RAW!????

EDIT: Ah.. thank you, Bone43. I am pleased to discover that the culinary arts are not lost on all members of this fine website.

"ps.. anyone know the correct internal temperature for roast baby?"

145 degrees then pull it out, it will finish to medium rare if left standing for 15 minutes on the oven.

You largly base a movie as it stands alone - unless it is a series or other similar.

Well...that's another discussion in of itself as some people I know seem to regard each Tarrantino movie as interchangeable. Though how you can say that of Kill Bill and Pulp Fiction is beyond me, but there you have it.

I'm sure if I went back and watched RD now I'd probably enjoy it more.

For a movie it wasn't bad, but I just didn't think it was one of Tarrantino's pillars.

Well comeon now - that is hardly fair. You don't base a movie on that. You largly base a movie as it stands alone - unless it is a series or other similar.

I would say, "eh, Christmas sucked, it was hardly what it was like when I was 8". Which is true, but it doesn't take away that the last Christmas I had I was with family and had a really good time. As an adult I don't enjoy it as much (or get as many cool things), but that doesn't mean it is any worse/better than any previous.

But who honestly expected this or any other movie game to turn out good?
Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay pretty much surprised everybody. It was a good game based off a movie I wouldn't watch if you paid me.

I don't know why anyone would care who liked the movie and who didn't? Anyway, it is pretty bad from everything I've read that wasn't a "preview."

I heard that the game is not very good, and is really short too (about four hours long).

That's supposed to make me want to buy the game how, exactly? And that's the best the VP of sales and marketing could come up with? I bet the cleaner could have done a better job.

Vengence; you have to wonder about these things? Of course they are going to suck, hell if high production values of Godfather still made a shitty game, then these are definatly going to be crap.

So, you guys like to tell jokes, huh? Gigglin' and laughin' like a bunch of young broads sittin' in a schoolyard. Well, let me tell a joke. Four guys, sittin' in a bullpen, in San Quentin. All wondering how the fuck they got there. What should we have done, what didn't we do, who's fault is it, is it my fault, your fault, his fault, all that bullshit. Then one of them says, hey. Wait a minute. When we were planning this caper, all we did was sit around tellin' fuckin' jokes! Get the message? Boys, I don't mean to holler at ya. When this caper's over - and I'm sure it'll be a successful one - we'll get down to the Hawaiian Islands, hell, I'll roll and laugh with all of ya. You'll find me a different character down there. Right now, it's a matter of business.

I'll bet they fuck it up as grandly as they've fucked up Horizons.
