I haven't played it but I'm unimpressed. I think it's far too soon for a sequel, particularly when the engine has barely changed. I also think the theme is disappointing - BF2 works so well because it is a contemporary theme that you can relate to... BF2142 just looks baron and unappealing to me. That's not to knock the gameplay, which I'm sure will be as good as BF2, if not better.
I will not be buying it because I do not want to support EA's relentess pursuit of sequels. If they cut off support for BF2 prematurely, like they have done for their sports games, then that will be the final straw.
