(thanks Ant) now offers a new Linux and Windows server patch for the Point of
Existence modification for Battlefield 2. Word is: "With the release of the 1.4
patch for Battlefield 2 we have discovered a compability [sic] issue with the
current PoE2 version. Anyone trying to join a server running 1.4 will get a
modified content error and get kicked. However, we have already fixed this and a
download link for servers running PoE2 is listed below. Please unpack the files
to your mods/poe2 folder on your server to apply fix."

agreed Lazer POE is quite fun and its worth reinstalling bf2.
Paulp is an idiot. Puzzle games are his forte, not action shooters.
PoE2 is frankly one of the best mods I have played on any Battlefield engine ever. The gameplay is exact, cunning, and fun.

As a counterpoint, I'll say that for a first release, I think they did an exceptional job. There's a large selection of maps, vehicles, and weapons (more than BF2). The art is well done. The music is better than the original, and the team is actively listening to the community.

Dont bother this is really not worth the download , maybe 2 of the maps are good , the rest is sub standard to say the least.
