The tutorial levels are nothing like the SP that is in the demo that's on this months PC Gamer. Also, any game that scores a 96 in Gamer is a must buy.

You had sticky select on. Turn it off in the options.

The tutorial levels in the MP beta sort of serve as a sampling of the SP.

I am looking forward to this one but want to sample the single-player first. And I was hoping to get my hands on a single-player demo before buying this one. From the sound of it at least one of you has already played it single-player...

"DoW was a much better game, IMHO. Its storyline was much better... "

Myself I haven't played through the "storyline" of a RTS since Warcraft II. I prefer to play skirmishes or different scenarios on different maps. But I would have to disagree that the story of WWII isn't "much better" since in most cases these games are using actual history for their storyline. But then it is all a matter of opinion.

If you're not tired of the WW II genre games and you like RTS this is a great game. I just hope they have a speed slider so that I can slow the game down a bit more.

"either a lot of fun or an unplayable mess."

from the times, I have played it I wish unit control was better, having to jump around the map and not be able to select or deselect units easily was a pain in the ass. I often sent units retreating that I wasn't trying to.

Maybe I need more time but the command and control system seems wanting.

DoW was a much better game, IMHO. Its storyline was much better and hadn't been beaten in to the ground like a thousand other WW2 RTSes have done to the strategy genre.

How about we stop rehashing a war where most of the survivors are now long dead and bring out a Homeworld 3 that is just as good as the first?

I've heard polarised views on the demo, either a lot of fun or an unplayable mess. Interested in hearing peoples views on this one, using Dawn of War as your yardstick!

Beta was a lot of fun. Can't wait to play this fully on LAN.
