Just out of curiosity, what type of converter would I need to get a 360 controller running on my PC?

Does it require any drivers? This demo looks very nice, and I have several games that would benefit from a controller, maybe it's time I pick one up. Since I'll be getting a 360 within the next 18 months anyways, I might as well get the extra controller now.

Just to give you a quick heads up, you may run across two versions of the wired Xbox 360 controller. One is called the "Xbox 360 controller for Windows" and comes in a red package. It will be found alongside other PC controllers in the hardware section of your local electronics store. The second version is the regular Xbox 360 wired controller which comes in a green package and will be found in the Xbox 360 section with other accessories.

The only difference between the two packages is A) the color of the package and B) the Xbox 360 controller for Windows version will come with a CD with the drivers on it. Both versions should be the same price, and they are both the exact same controller and both work on either PC or Xbox 360. Just mentioning this so there's no confusion if you see both versions at the store.

There are many different ages of people who visit this site. You should consider this.

At what point did the general public become so out of control foul mouthed? seems few if any have any respect for themselves or the people around them.

that logic sounds like the defenders of the films who argued...

try to look past the fact that they're legos the character of Jar Jar , and maybe -- just maybe -- you might be able to enjoy the game fine films underneath.

Except it's not, and you're a complete fucking idiot. Do us all a favor and don't try to make analogies your feeble fucking mind can't even understand have no relevance to each other. The films sucked, Jar Jar or not. Anyone who calls any of the 3 prequels "fine films" is fucking delusional. Logic? I'll fucking give you logic. Except it'll be in the shape of my foot, and it will be introduced through your ass.

The point here is that who cares what the fucking source material is -- if it's a good game, then it stands on those merits alone. Legos, Star Wars, who fucking cares. Those things alone do not a good game make.

It's hands-down the best controller availably for the PC right now.

The Logitech Rumblepad 2 seems fine to me. It's true that the analog sticks move within square areas, except that's never been a problem for me and I've played through all the PoP games (and Psychonauts and many others) without a hitch.

As for Lego Star Wars, I've never liked it. Far, far too slow and simple. I can appreciate the humor but gameplay always takes precedence.

Well, not a bad demo...I don't like infinite respawn (never have), and that seems to popup in a few places.

Had the music turned off, and it still played anyone in one scene.

The trademark sense of humor is still in tact, and that's good.

I'm sure I'll pick it up.

You don't need to have a 360 for the controller to be a valid purchase for the PC. It's hands-down the best controller availably for the PC right now.

Although support for older games can be a bit spotty. I think it was first PoP. Typical PC controllers have a sqaure area for the stick to move in, the 360 ones are round. When I'd puch the stick to where the corner would be in a typical PC controller, he wouldn't run.

Support for it in the newest PoP is fantastic though.

Buy yourself a 360 wired controller and be done with it. By far the best gamepad you will ever use on a PC.
