The Final Fantasy XI Website has word on some bans that have been handed out in the MMORPG (thanks Mike Martinez and Joystiq). Word is:

Based on the results of an investigation, over 2,000 PlayOnline accounts have been either suspended or terminated on Jul. 21, 2006 for the malicious and intentional use of these third-party tools.

We would like to take this time to remind our players that the use of any third-party tools will not only destroy the in-game balance, but will also encourage RMT (Real Money Trade) activities. We will continue to take strict actions against those individuals that we have confirmed to have used such tools.

Yeah I forgot the part of this news post talking about EVE online. You are saying tough to "newbies" who get killed but you got banned for BEGGING. It's too bad you can't see how retarded that is. I wish more games would ban for begging, and more websites would ban for irrelevant and rambling posts.

If they were banning for only using the windower it would have been a hell of a lot more than 2000 people, so the ones who said thats why they got banned were lying to try and get sympathy (the usual tactic of angry banned cheaters.)
