Kids played Quake 2 on the network, but none of them had the mouse sensitivity high, I don't know if most had discovered wasd (was that the default yet?) and quite a few used the keyboard only.
You want to talk massacre? Games to 15 would often be won by me in two or three minutes, with the closest score being no more than 3 and most people still at 0. Lots of them liked to crouch when they fired, which worked well for me, as I liked to jump on their heads and shoot straight down without them having a clue where I went.
I'm still not convinced Thresh was good. I think he was just the first to figure this stuff out.
Dagok, you use the right mouse button to move forward? Haha, that was my DN3D setup. I used the arrow keys for strafing, jumping and ducking. I quickly realized how idiotic that was and moved to my esdf setup, as it looked the closest to the arrow keys to me. Action Quake 2 forced me to change it, as I needed the second mouse button for other things.
