Don't you remember? Steam IS spyware -- they maliciously record the number of times you die on every level in EP1. Riley gave us a good paranoid rant on that already.It's not paranoia. It is a fact that Valve collects information on Steam users (though the exact scope and information collected is not publicly known). My point then and now is that there is absolutely no valid reason for Valve not to give its customers the option to "opt out" of this data collection. People don't have to be a Nielsen family to watch television, and they sure as hell shouldn't have to be the equivalent to play Valve's games.
