Oh please, Valve are still putting out content they would have had to have in the game when they released it if they hadn't always bundled it with other games. It started with 4 maps for gods sakes! Count them... on one hand no less!

And it only had 6 before this update.

I agree. If Valve was like EA or another publisher, they would have come up with some kind of annual subscription fee option that allows subscribers 1st priority to play (day before release or something), betas, etc. before non subscribers. Meanwhile, we 'free loaders' would have to wait for official releases and get bare-bones service, or worse.

Valve may ultimately make a service like this, but now is definately not the right time for it. There is just not enough content to warrant it or make it profitable. Plus the community would probably get up in an uproar over it, like they do with most everything else.

Time will tell.

Doesn't anyone else take a breath of relief in knowing that Valve still respects gamers enough to not try and release these updates in a pay-for map pack or other type of microtransaction/robbery? Hell I may just buy something else on Steam just as a point.

Thanks, Valve.

F.U. EA and Microsoft.

DOD is a lot of fun and is basically the exact same premise as BF2. Minus the bugs.

Does this make the game fun?

Why would you want to downgrade it from sublime?
