Wow I might actually buy GRAW PC now...

1. The new map content looks free- that's a huge plus. Screw micropayments!
2. Anti Aliasing! Finally! Has anyone tried it yet???

The Co-op is fun, but very slow too get in and out of a game.
They make you sit the chopper for more then a Minute! With no way to skip.

Aslo when the server dies the games over, and no easy way to start again. So you have to go back and pick everyones wep again, then Load, then wait in chopper! very slow.. But a good teamplay exp.

Fun game though weapons feel good looks great. Just need more MP game types.

great to see more stuff for GRAW...for FREE, even. (and as usual, even free stuff is met with complaints.)

the game runs great for me, so not sure what the complaints are about...HOWEVER, some of the levels are pretty damn hard. (the 3rd-4th one with the MG nests was insane for me...)

once you can edit games/add your own content or the content created by other users, i might consider getting a console to use as my primary gaming platform. Until then...forget it.

They're implementing the all the original multiplayer features of the original GR over the "summer", including co-op options.

Anyone with framerate issues and an Nvidia card really ought to check out the drivers mentioned earlier, they gave me large boost in FPS and eliminated the dips in framerate.

For the love of god people don't call low FPS LAG, LAG is what you get when playing over the net.

I put this game in my 360 last week to warm up for this new map pack and it's really a gorgeous game. Looking forward to trying these maps out on the 360.

I have played both the PC version and the 360 version and 360 wins hands down in my opinion. The game is just beautiful on the 360 in every respect, yet on the PC it loses that magic and changes significantly.

If you have a 360 version go with that, the PC version needs serious hardware to run. The article mentions that the PC map pack is available, I wonder if the 360 pack is coming today or later?

Well I don't know about anyone else, but the day they make a console to:

1. Surf the Internet.
2. Run mostly all the games I've ever played since 1980 - without having to pay for them all over again.
3. Allow me to print, email, talk via voice chat.
4. Use a Mouse and Keyboard , which would be totally configurable - as OPPOSED to a clunky joystick (which makes for retarded first person shooter games, let's be honest folks).
5. Allow wide changes in video resolution.
6. Upgrade hardware at will without having to hack the box, and at my own pace. Skins? Give me a break.
7. Run other productivity software.
8. I know there is more...

Then I'll buy a console.

"xbox 360 version puts the pc version to shame"

Thats the best you can do? I'll take a pc game over a console anyday, I dont own a 360 but have played both versions, the pc version is horrible in comparison. From little things like only having a wireframe corner camera view to a clunky control system and buggy multiplayer with nowhere as many features as the 360s, its not up to the same standard. If you insult me just because I dared put down a pc version over a consoles, then the only dickhead fanboy here is you.

Have they added OPTIONS to co-op games to turn off the bafflingly annoying "feature" where if your team leader dies, the game is over for everyone? How about options for respawns in co-op? Give me those options and I'll play it.

LOL bullshit

fucking PC heads

j/k, but actually both are very good games on their own merits, yet the PC version is a pain in the ass if your comp refuses to run it at decent framerates - the interface makes it near impossible to enjoy the otherwise great gameplay if your controls lag like heck

the Xbox 360 version is a different game that always runs well - it has its own little quirks but nothing as show-stopping as really poor performance (or really bad visuals and acceptable performance...) so I guess they're even

uhhhh:

Please ignore con-troll. Why do people always have to be such whiny-assed bitches? There are great things about this game!

on my AMD 3000+/1gig/ATI Radeon X800XT PE (not sli) I get 40-45 FPS at 1280x960. At its worst, it never dips below 30. I can get another 10 frames if I drop to 1024x768. I'm using the stock .ini settings. If you absolutely have to, go to http://www.tweakguides.com - you'll do just fine.

Excuse me but this is not a port it was designed fro mthe group up 2 differant developers made GRAW. as for your fram rate issues on the Nvidia go download these drivers version 84.56. It will increase your frame rate by at least 25 percent.

uhhh ignore pro-troll and try the demo first. This thing is hard to run on most systems. On my 3700/2gig/7800gt-sli I get 30fps max and it dips to the single digits. I have tried a lot of things even tweaking the .ini it's just a really bad port of a very good game.

This game is great! Again, tough to really compare it to it's origins as so much has changed. However, it already has a decent following and the developers are on top of patches and add-ons, which makes the game get even better. 2 patches and now this map pack/patch (it's both), adds co-op maps, Deathmatch maps, the Deathmatch game type (originally had only co-op and domination gametypes), anti-cheat server protection, new server options and tweaks, general fixes/tweaks, new sounds, weapon kits, AI updates, the official editor, . I believe next month will include more gametypes (team deathmatch, hamburger hill I think) and probably more maps to go with it.
You've decided to look into GR: AW at a great time!
