I don't remember, honestly. I got it right after Doom3 came out, I believe.
Actually, also wait a minute. I have a Prescott P4 3.2 HT’ed running at the 800MHZ. Do you have a Prescott (E model version) or before Prescott? I know they changed things around a little and maybe that could a difference too.
edit: To give you an idea...you said you're hits 110? My proc, just sitting at the desktop not being used, runs around 135...
I am using the stock retail heatsink and fan
but if I am remembering correctly the first major generation of the HT’ed P4’s first fan and sink was far inferior.
Mine has been a fireball since I installed the thing...the Intel software monitors 2 zones and the proc. One zone is always 10 degrees hotter than the other, and the proc is a fireball. I've added fans, used artic silver, and even upgraded the bios a few times, thinking it wasn't reporting the temps right...
My 3.2 P4HT only gets over 150 when the far and heatsink is really dirty. It is normally around 108.
You got to dust them regularly!
All I know that my computer won't turn on. I do see a green light on my motherboard when PSU is on. PSU won't come on (fans stay dead)

Jacksonville, Florida: Low 73, High 86
New York City, New York: Low 74, High 88
Man, that sweltering Florida heat! Well, at least we don't have to worry about snow during the winter, just like the equally hot New York, right?
Anyone have any decent resources for PHP-page-building?
nin: Wow, you too? I thought it was just me. Where do you live? I am in Southern California.
My little room was about 90F degrees. And I think my computer died from the extreme heat (motherboard was 117F degrees and CPU was 157F degrees before playing the gasme -- so must had gotten way hotter).
