it deserves the same criticism if it too was in development as long as Half-Life 2 by a developer as wealthy as Valve
A thread about ET:QW and we have Riley bitching about HL2... what a fucking surprise. You obviously have a clear dislike for all modern computer games so why do you even bother to hang around Bluesnews? If a game can monitor usage stats and use that to improve the game then that's fine by me... that way the game is catered to the users. Valve uses Steam and the voluntary survey to monitor system specs so that they can cater the game to the average system - that's why HL2 runs a lot smoother on current gen specs that most other games that have no point of reference. I have no doubt you'll turn that around as proof of Valve trying to destroy the gaming industry as we know it.
NEway, I'm not going to fuel your Valve bashing. I have no interest in your opinion regarding computer games, the internet, reproduction or anything else you care to spew your filth over. Incessant negativity and paranoia are not qualities that I value.
As for ET:QW... it looks alright but the videos I saw were unimpressive and the animations were very poor. Gameplay looked good and the graphics don't look hugely demanding, as I was fearing a super-computer would be needed. Pre-ordering is not my top concern, as I'd rather wait to hear people's response to the game than buy a game based upon hype - I think it will be a decent game but am not willing to risk money on that prediction.
