Further proof that some people would still bitch even if they announced the game was FREE.
Further proof that some people would still bitch even if they announced the game was FREE.Yes, if the game were free and still had persistent tracking which was not optional, I would bitch because my complaint is not about the price.
Every game using a cdkey that needs to be validated stores your ip, for a short amount of time at least,There is a huge difference between that brief IP tracking which only occurs while the user is actually playing on a game server at that moment and a persistant account which cumulatively tracks a user every time he plays the game and what he does while he plays, etc.
you are only basing your opinions on hype and marketing
As for why that is a problem I prefer to play randomnly and anonymously when I play online not have to stick to the same character and worry about having to get X amount of points to be able to use certain weapons or abilities. If I wanted to do that, I would play MMO games
then go around servers griefing players to hurt your reputation.Reputation?! LOL! Oh yes you wouldn't want the cool kids to think you're not cool.
Or maybe you miss getting on a server and seeing 3 players with the same name as you no matter how "unique" your name is, because they thought it was cool and stole it from you.I have some shocking news for you. Your real name is mostly likely not unique either. Get over it.
Having to register means they can track you. That is precisely the problem. It's just one more opportunity for companies to know how I spend my time and try to sell crap to me. I don't have to be a "Nielsen family" to watch television, and I sure as hell shouldn't have to be one to play video games online.
Enough with the MMORPG in my FPS, FFS.Amen.
So?"So" does not answer the question, now does it?
