Battlefield 2 Update

A new Battlefield 2 update (thanks James) paradoxically describes the great success of the launch of the Armored Fury booster pack and their recognition that this has been a "very trying time" for fans of DICE's shooter sequel. They also mention that the map they were recently testing (story) will be in the next patch, rather than a booster pack. Most significantly, they describe a commitment to fix some things going forward:
The DICE team has been reviewing player feedback gathered from forums, email, and the ranker server providers in an effort to provide the best possible step forward from 1.3. While this work has been highly focused on bug fixing the team has also managed to put some work towards new content.

Yeah? Well Desert Combat gave us everything and then some that BF2 has and it was ZERO bucks. Problem is EA just went and bought up the maker of that little mod and made a sequel out of it.

Oh and btw there Dice boy, he did say how to reproduce it. Just play the game and there you go.
I wonder how they'll handle the ranking system because I'd imagine that the BF2 stats whores are not going to want to start from scratch again with 2142. One thing they need to do is ban booster pack unlocks from the vanilla game. That SF sniper rifle unlock turned me into an absolute reaper when I grabbed it from a dead sniper. You can't NOT get mad kills with that thing, and don't even get me started on that retarded flash/bang. Want to use you Booster unlocks? Go play on a booster map server.
