I think I'll wait 3 months for Neverwinter Nights 2. Sure the graphics aren't quite as good, but the game isn't done and we haven't seen screens with stuff like HDR or the full dynamic lighting, alpha blending (though not as good as Oblivions), paralax mapping etc that are supposed to be in game.
However, NWN2 promices to have quite a long single player story, one that is infinately more interesting, not to mention cohesive, then Oblivions. On top of that we get a free toolset that lets us make hundreds of thousands of things that Oblivion can never have with it's toolset.
Not to mention, with NWN1 to this day they release a tun of FREE stuff to the community. They do have 'pay-to-download' things like Oblivion, but they are generally tuns and tuns of new content, new monsters, new tilesets, and 10+ hour new adventures. I'm sure NWN2 will follow in Biowares footsteps.
You folks who think this isn't all that bad a situation, you do realize that Bethesta did the same thing in previous games.. only it was all FREE.
We have some games (mostly consoles) comming out that have content, weapons, armors, extra bonuses, etc that will be available to pay and download online, at the SAME TIME the game comes out. So it isn't extra stuff they are making, it's stuff already in the game and taken out to make an extra buck. I mean I kinda feel for consolers, they pay $10-15 more per game alone, and now to get a full game their gonna have to buy extra crap!
I refuse to pay for this garbage. Already the community has pumped out a TUN of extra quests, dungeons, areas, castles, even entire towns.. for free. Bethesta can take their crap and shove it.
