Bethesda has this HUGE problem with quantity over quality. A game like Gothic has quality of quantity. Forget Oblivion 1000 dungeons and ruins, make like 5-10 but make them memorable and unique.
They failed again with Oblivion in so many way. The graphics are always stellar in the game, its the generic content and the inability to do normal things (attack from horse?) that kills the game.
I totally agree. I didn't even bother exploring but about five or six dungeons (outside main quest dungeons) because they all look basically EXACTLY THE SAME. There are the caves, the greenish blue elven dungeons, and the imperial dungeons, and thats it. They build the dungeons with "tiles" and just piece them together like a lego set, and you get 1,000's of homogeneous dungeons that get boring fast.
I would rather have like 15 or 20 UNIQUE and DIFFERENT dungeons in the world that 2,000 of the same dungeon in slightly different configurations.
