why arent there any generally-played modded maps for BF2? Every other FPS I've played has been modded to bits, it seems like there arent any new BF2 maps. Anyone know why? do they not show up within the game or something?
BF2 is too buggy for me to pay for an expansion

Because of the ranking system.

No one will play custom maps because you can't earn precious ranks on them, so the whole idea of modding the game is merely a nice fantasy..
