Yes, but the US is the center of the universe, no?

Hehe - ok, I'll get flamed for that.

Instead I am forced to download small clips of gameplay FROM AUSTRALIA.

Boohoo, now you know how the rest of the world feels being forced to download from the US.

Theres some really cool features and ideas in this game but at best the game looks and plays like a proof-of-concept rather than a AAA game that can support its AAA price. not even close.

These guys ought to switch to mechwarrior style vehicles with the same features and then they'll have something that'll pique peoples interest. Thats my opinion anyway.

Curious - anyone play the final game or even the playtest? This looks cool, but doesn't look 100%... ready in their videos. Also share the concern of previous posts on D/L'ing from Australia, etc.

$45 bucks? Hmmm... Under $30 I may have just bought it out of curiosity.

Don't feed the troll(s). I'm surprised you guys haven't figured out War's MO by now.

LoL these guys are smoking crack. $45? Demo with single player disabled? Forget it...

But it "features 'believable combat'"!

From what it looks like they forgot to add in any sounds or fluid vehicle movement.

Dropships that you can grapple friendly tanks to move around with (as in their tiny video i downloaded from the AU) are completely lacking in engine noises, rushing winds, they even lack the feeling of being an actual ten ton piece of metal that floats in the sky.

My hopes for this game are kinda squashed by the fact that the media on the main game website is hosted at 3dgamers or 3ddownloads.

They don't even have their own webserver for hosting their content!

Instead I am forced to download small clips of gameplay FROM AUSTRALIA.

Oh yeah, sure thing man. Cause I'm the ONLY PERSON in the gaming world that thinks all of Derek Smarts games suck total ass. I guess you are right...wow I wonder what I could be missing!

What good is a 1000sqkm map if the damn server only has 16 or 32 player capacity?

I actually tried out UC back in its' time. It really was one of the worst games that I had ever played. In fact I don't think I have played a game since with as clunky of an interface as UC.

Violence, naked force, has settled more issues in history than any other factor, and the contrary opinion is wishfull thinking at its worst. Breeds that forget this basic truth have always paid for it with their lives and freedoms.

I might be inclined to order this if it was cheap, but not for $45.
